Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce Review and Fudge Recipe!

Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce Review

We recently had the chance to try out Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce again. We are big fans of Country Bob’s! Normally John uses the sauce for his burgers and chicken. He loves using it in the spring and summer when he fires up the barbecue. I decided that I wanted to try something new this time. A while ago I received a Country Bob’s Cookbook and saw a recipe for Incredible Fudge that was made with Country Bob’s. I have been thinking about this recipe for months. I can honestly say I have never made fudge with barbecue sauce before. So last night I decided to see how it turned out. I have to say when I looked at the ingredient list I was really skeptical about the taste. I had never heard of barbecue sauce or Velveeta cheese being used in fudge.

Here is a picture of all of the ingredients that went into the fudge.

Ingredients

12 ounces Velveeta Cheese

1 cup butter or margarine

6 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
I used semi sweet because I like the taste of it

2 pounds Confectioner’s Sugar

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Optional – 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

Place Velveeta, butter, chocolate, and Country Bob’s All Purpose Original Sauce in a large microwave safe bowl
Microwave on high for 2 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute until the mixture is smooth and well blended
Place the confectioners sugar in a large mixing bowl
Add the chocolate mixture gradually, Beating with an electric mixer at medium speed until well blended
Beat in vanilla
Stir in pecan
Pour the fudge into a greased 9×13 inch pan
Smooth over the top, cover and refrigerate for several hours or until firm

Store in the refrigerator
Yields 4 pounds!

I am so impressed with this fudge. It is really soft and smooth. I will definitely be making this fudge again soon. I love that I was able to make 4 pounds of fudge and I never had to turn on the stove top. This would be a great fudge for the middle of the summer when you do not want to heat up the house.
John took a huge container of fudge to work today. I can’t wait to hear what they think of it.

Let me know if you try out this recipe and how it turns out.
