Cover your fridge shelves to make them easier to clean….
A while ago I saw a post on Pinterest about using Glad Press N Seal on your refrigerator shelves to make them easier to clean. The thought is that you can cover them and when they get messy just peel off the Press N Seal and put a new cover down. I decided to try this out this week and see whether it would work.
I started by pulling the refrigerator shelves out and giving them a deep clean. They looked so shiny and pretty I was almost sad to cover them but figured if it makes it easier to clean them in the future it is worth a try.
The Glad Press N Seal did not quite cover the entire shelf so I had to make a patch or 2 along the bottom of it. I went back and smoothed it down as much as I could. I ended up using a knife to cut around the edges and make sure that the Press N Seal was covering the glass portion of the shelf. This process only took a few minutes and was really easy to do. Next time I will have John help me to make sure that the Press N Seal does not get caught on itself as I am putting it on the shelf.
We have had the shelves covered for a few days and so far it is working great. I wanted to wait to post until I made sure the Press N Seal would actually stay on the shelves. I have added more groceries back into the fridge and so far everything is working great. I am interested to see how long the Press N Seal lasts on the shelves.
Do you have any tips or advice on keeping your refrigerator clean?
