Frugal Wedding Tips – Kids Toy Buckets

We really wanted to make our wedding fun for the entire family. We knew that we had friends and family members bringing their kids and the last thing we wanted was for the kids to be bored or upset that they were there. I went to Michaels and purchased $1.00 plastic buckets.

I filled the buckets with fun toys and treats that I found at the dollar store, Target, Walmart pretty much anyplace I could find cheap fun toys. I made up enough so that each kid that we knew was coming to the wedding had their own bucket. I filled them with dolls, puzzles, light up jewelry, games, coloring books and toys that were great for all ages. I have to say these buckets went over so well at the wedding. The kids played under the tables and in a corner the entire night with their buckets. They all became great friends and had so much fun together. The parents were able to enjoy the wedding and not worry that their kids were getting in trouble.
