Today is National Dry Martini Day
Whenever I think of Martini’s I instantly picture James Bond and think shaken not stirred. I have never had a dry martini so I am not sure how they taste.
Anyone a fan of Dry Martinis? Are they worth trying?
Here is some information I found out about Dry Martinis
Dry Martini- Traditionally uses more dry vermouth, however recent trends define a Dry Martini as using little or no vermouth.
Ingredients
2 1/2 fluid ounces gin
1/2 fluid ounce dry vermouth
1 pitted green olive
1 cup ice
Directions
- Scoop ice into a shaker. Pour in gin and vermouth. Cover shaker, and gently shake to mix vermouth and gin. Pour drink, without ice, into a cocktail glass. Gently drop olive or lemon twist into the glass. Serve.
