Zaycon Foods Strawberries

Yesterday we picked up 32 pounds of strawberries from Zaycon Foods. The strawberries we picked up are absolutely amazing. I have to admit that we ate an entire pound of strawberries before we even made it back to the house. My parents were with us and I had 32 pounds of strawberries sitting on my lap in the Jeep. (note this is not the most comfortable of positions but you get easy access to the strawberries) We passed a container around and had it finished before we were half way home.

One of the things I love about Zaycon Foods is how easy it is to get your order. You simply pull up to the truck, confirm your name, your order is placed in the car and you drive away. You never have to get out of your car they take care of everything for you.

The strawberries came packaged in 4 flats with 8 one pound containers in each flat. Having everything divided into one pound packages made it really easy to divide the strawberries up. I am planning on using the packages next week when we go to Greenbluff to pick blackberries. They will work perfectly for bringing the fruit home.

I can wait to make Strawberry Sauce, Strawberry Pie, Strawberry Ice Cream and so many more recipes over the next few weeks with the strawberries we picked up yesterday. I am also really excited to have a freezer full of strawberries for this winter. I love being able to stock up on fresh fruit and store it in the freezer. This is a great way to save on fruits and vegetables. Zaycon Foods price for the strawberries was fantastic! Much lower than I could find at our local grocery store or warehouse store.

Zaycon Foods also sells chicken, beef, bacon, salmon, and other items on their website. I highly recommend checking out their site and trying their deals. We have purchased chicken, bacon and now strawberries and been really impressed with every order.

  1. Tammi,
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay per pound for those beautiful strawberries??? I would love to get some the next time around to make strawberry jam! I just signed up with Zaycon today. I am excited to buy some chicken, but would like more info on the strawberries.

    Thanks,
    Stephanie
