Copycat Butterfingers

This recipe was a lot of fun to make. I was amazed at how much these taste just like a Butterfinger. I never would have thought of mixing these ingredients and it would make this flavor. I thought these tasted better after sitting in the fridge for a few days. The middle portion was a bit firmer and had a closer texture to a true Butterfinger.

Ingredients
1 lb Candy Corn
16 oz jar peanut butter
16oz package chocolate (I used melted Hershey Bars)

Directions

1. Melt candy corn in the microwave for 1 minute. Stir and continue cooking in 15 second intervals until melted.
It took about 4 minutes for the candy corn to melt for me.

2. Stir in peanut butter.

I tried stirring by hand with a wooden spoon and could not stir fast enough before the mixture hardened. I used my Kitchenaid mixer and it worked great.

3. Spread mixture in a 8×8 pan lined with parchment
cool completely.

4. Cut into squares
dip int omelted chocolate

5. Lay on wax paper to set.

Recipe adapted from Plain Chicken.
