Garden Update!
We have Pumpkins! I am so excited that we have pumpkins this year. We have a couple of nice size pumpkins and a couple of baby pumpkins that I am hoping will take off over the next month of so. Our tomato plants are not doing as great as I had hoped they would. I think we will need to find a different area of the back yard for them next year. They did not get enough sun in the area they are in and did not grow anywhere near the size I had hoped for.
This is the first year we have grown pumpkins. They are taking over the area we set up for them. I am actually really glad that only about 1/4 of the plants survived the first big storm we had a few months ago. Otherwise we would of had an entire back yard of pumpkins. I am
amazed at how long they grow. Some of them were trying to grow up the fence and we had to keep moving them around to get enough space for them to grow.
I am really hoping we will have 4-6 great sized pumpkins by Halloween. John is super excited to have pumpkins from our yard to display. He planted the giant pumpkin seeds so we will see how big these get over the next month or so.
