This morning I got to do something I never thought I would do. John called and told me he needed my help in the park. I met them to help transport an injured Osprey. The Osprey had an injured wing and was unable to get off the ground. The rangers were able to move the Osprey into our kennel for transport. We transported the Osprey to a wildlife rehab center in Spokane Valley.
I never thought I would spend the morning talking to an Osprey and trying to keep it calm during transport. The wildlife rehab center in Spokane Valley was wonderful. They had everything from baby squirrels they had hand raised to a pigeon and more. The staff was wonderful and we will hopefully get an update on the Osprey on Tuesday. I really hope the Osprey is ok and able to heal. It is such an amazingly beautiful raptor.
