I Heart Bacon ~ 20+ Fantastic Bacon Recipes!
We are starting off 2013 with bacon! Bacon has become a cult fascination over the past few years. Everywhere you look there are Bacon t-shirts
As a vegetarian I never thought I would write a blog post about loving bacon. I have learned to cook bacon after being married to a meat eater for a few years. The first time I tried to cook bacon I had to call my Mom and ask how to do it. I probably should have thought that call through since she instantly asked who I was cooking the bacon for since I had been vegetarian over 10 years. I had to admit that I was dating John and it was getting serious. Who would have thought bacon would out our relationship to my parents.
What are your favorite ways to cook bacon? Oven or stove top?
I just learned to cook bacon in the oven and I can not imagine going back to cooking it on the stove top. It is so easy and such a quick clean up. I put the bacon on a rack on top of a cookie sheet and place it in a cold oven . I turn the oven on to 350 degrees for 20 minutes. The bacon grease drips off the rack and into the cookie sheet and you end up with nicely cooked bacon.
I thought it would be fun to put together a list of fantastic bacon recipes to start the year off right!

We buy our bacon from Zaycon Foods. We buy it once or twice a year and freeze it. We have saved a ton of money buying it from Zaycon and freezing it.
