National Park Free Days 2013
The National Park System is offering quite a few National Park Free Days for 2013! This is a great time to visit one of our amazing National Parks.
Being married to a Park Ranger I spend a lot of time traveling in the National Parks. I am pretty sure John would visit a park on every vacation if he had the chance. I love the free weekends that the National Parks offer. These are great times to get out and explore our amazing National Parks. The photo above is of Mount Rainier at Reflection Lake. A few of our favorite National Parks are Volcano National Park in Hawaii, Everglades National Park, Glacier National Park in Montana, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Zion, Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon and well most of them honestly.
Here are the days that will be free in 2013 -
- January 21 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- April 22-26 - National Park Week
- August 25 - National Park Service Birthday
- September 28 - National Public Lands Day
- November 9-11 - Veterans Day weekend
Which National Parks are your favorite to visit? Is there one that you dream of visiting? John wants to visit the National Parks in American Samoa. We have never met anyone who has been there. I hope that some day we make it to the park and get to check out the Samoan Islands at the same time.
