Do you ever try something and think why in the world have I not done this before?
That is how I felt after cleaning the Blender this weekend. Normally I take the blender apart and put it in the dishwasher. There are times though that I want to reuse the blender the same evening and always worry that rinsing it out will not get all of the prior ingredients out. So I tried something new….
I poured a few drops of dish cleaner into the blender and added water until the blender was 1/4 of the way filled.
I turned on the Blender and let the soap do its thing. It was kind of fun to see the soap suds spinning in the blender. Once it had run for a few seconds I poured the soapy water in the sink and washed out the blender. Just to make sure I had all of the soapy water out I restarted the blender with clean water. There were no suds so I was ready to move on to my next mix.
I still wash the blender in the dishwasher for a deep clean but this method works great for in between making drinks or switching recipes.
