Checking out the Microsoft Surface

This year I am really excited to be part of the Windows Champions program! I will be working with Microsoft this year sharing great tips and tricks for using their programs and technology. Microsoft was wonderful and sent me a new Microsoft Surface to try out and see what I think of it.

Microsoft Surface Charger

The first thing I noticed with the Surface is the battery charger. It is so techy and cool. I am not sure if techy is a word but I am going with it.  Here’s the cool part about it….There are no prongs that can break, pieces that can bend or anything else. The battery piece magnetizes to the side of the Surface and starts charging! SO COOL! While we are admiring the battery compartment check out how slim the screen is!

Microsoft Surface Set Up

The second thing I noticed was how easy it was to set up. The program took me through all of the questions and it was done in less than five minutes.

Microsoft Surface Seattle ScreenSaver

Check out this screen saver! I love this picture of Seattle. Makes me want to hop in the car and drive to the coast to visit my parents.

The touch cover clicks right into the Microsoft Surface and includes a great keyboard. This keyboard reminded me of just how heavy I type. The keyboard is so light and easy to type on. At first I felt like I was pounding on it but have now adapted to typing lightly on the keyboard.

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing more about the Microsoft Surface and Windows 8. I am so excited to dive into Windows 8 apps and the Microsoft Surface.

I am a member of Microsoft Windows Champions for 2013. I will be working with Microsoft over the next year. Microsoft has provided me with a Microsoft Surface to help facilitate my reviews. All opinions expressed are my own.
