While we were there we had the opportunity to have our picture taken with Elvis. I love this photo! It is my favorite picture from our entire trip. The Elvis impersonator had Elvis glasses for the guys to wear that included side burns. He had us all laughing and having such a good time. The Elvis Impersonator had an assistant who offered to take our group picture. I normally do not hand over my camera to anyone but there was a huge crowd and I could tell they had been there done that a few thousand times before. They posed us so we would get the best picture with the sign and Elvis.
The photographer also showed us how to hold up our hand and make the V of the Las Vegas sign. We had never seen this done before and thought it was a fun picture for the trip. We tipped the Elvis impersonator and his assistant a few dollars and it was so worth it.
There is a great parking lot now right by the Las Vegas sign. You no longer have to dart across Las Vegas boulevard to get your picture taken. Everyone lines up in front of the sign and it is really easy to get your picture. I was impressed with how friendly and easy going everyone was in line. There was no one cutting in line or being obnoxious. Everyone was excited to get their picture with Elvis and have a good time.
