We love living in Spokane. There is so much to see in do in our amazing city. I thought I would highlight some of our favorite ways to spend a day in Spokane.
1. Visit Riverfront Park
Located in the heart of Downtown Spokane Riverfront Park offers many options for a great day out. You can ride the carousel, feed the garbage eating goat, take a gondola ride over the falls, walk the park and so much more.
2. Visit Manito Gardens
The Manito Gardens are amazing! Depending on the time of year you visit you can see Dahlias, Roses and a full English Garden in bloom. There is so much to see and do within Manito park. You can see the ducks in the pond, take a great walk, and relax.
3. Visit Cat Tales
Cat Tales is located in North Spokane and is home to many different cats. Everything from Lions, Tigers, and Bears to cougars and more. You can even feed a bear or a tiger. John fed the bear and it was a lot of fun.
4. Visit the Japanese Gardens at Manito Park
If you are looking for a great place to sit and relax the Japanese Gardens at Manito are amazing. You can find a great piece of shade and watch the Koi in the pond. This is one of my favorite places in Spokane to go and relax.
5. Visit Arbor Crest Winery
Arbor Crest Winery is located in Spokane Valley off of the Argonne exit. This winery is a hidden gem in Spokane. We love packing a picnic and enjoying an afternoon at the winery. You can pick up a great bottle of wine and sit and relax. There is an amazing view of the Spokane River and Centennial Trail below the winery.
6. Visit Riverside State Park ORV Area
The ORV Park is one of our favorite places to visit especially after it has rains. John loves taking the Jeep and playing in the mud puddles. The ORV Park is open year round. Make sure you have your Discover Pass displayed in your car!
7. Relaxing at the Northern Quest Spa
The spa at Northern Quest Resort Casino is amazing! La Rive Spa offers everything from massages, pedicures, facials and so much more. There is an AMAZING hot tub area that we spent hours relaxing in. You can have lunch brought in and just soak up the atmosphere. Make sure you check out the experimental showers in the dressing area. WOW! I have never had a shower quite like that before. A tropical rain storm in the middle of Spokane is quite the sensation!
