Thank you to Kraft and Collective Bias for sponsoring today’s Quick Family Meal recipe for Slow Cooker Hickory BBQ Beef Recipe. This recipe is so easy to make and turned out amazing! I am honestly not sure I can call it a recipe it is that easy!
When I heard about the new Kraft Recipe Makers I was so excited to try them. Anything that helps speed up dinner and produces an amazing meal I want to try. John and I headed to Walmart to decide on which one we were going to try. We had a hard time deciding on which flavor to try and actually purchased a couple of them. For the first meal we made the Slow Cooker Hickory Barbecue Beef. This recipe is so dang easy to make!
All you need to make this recipe is the Kraft Recipe Maker Hickory Barbecue Beef, Boneless Beef Chuck Roast, and some hamburger buns
Place the Boneless Beef Chuck Roast in your Slow Cooker
Pour the Brown Sugar and Cider Vinegar Simmer Sauce over the Boneless Beef Chuck Roast. This sauce smells so good! Cook the roast on low for 8-10 hours or high for 6-8 hours. I cooked it on low for 10 hours and it was amazing.
Carefully transfer the Boneless Beef Chuck Roast to a cutting board and let it stand for 10 minutes to cool and seal in the juices. Be prepared for the meat to fall apart as you pull it out of the slow cooker. It is so tender and juicy at this point.
Remove any of the liquid in the bottom of the slow cooker with a ladle, set aside.
Shred the meat with 2 forks. The meat is so tender it literally falls apart as you are touching it. I did not have any problems pulling the meat apart into shreds.
Place the beef back in the slow cooker and top with the Sweet Hickory Barbecue Finishing Sauce. Increase the slow cooker to high and cook covered for another 15 minutes until hot.
I served the Hickory BBQ Beef on a whole wheat bun and it was great. John said I could make it for dinner any night I wanted to. We had some leftovers and placed them in a plastic container in the fridge. They tasted great on day 2 and 3. I just heated them up in the microwave and served them with a hamburger bun.
This was the perfect dinner for the nights that John has a night shift. He was able to come home and have a hot meal ready for him in the slow cooker. I did not have to worry about timing dinner for right when he gets a chance to run home for dinner. Everything was hot and ready to go for him in the slow cooker. I can’t wait to try the Pot Roast Kraft Recipe Maker that we purchased later this week.
