When I heard we would be baking with the new Butterfinger Cups I was so excited but also nervous. I had to figure out how to hide the Butterfinger Cups so my dear Husband could not find them. He is a Butterfinger freak. I mean seriously he LOVES Butterfingers.
I had to hide the package of Butterfinger Cups in my desk. I figured he wouldn’t go digging in the scary desk drawer and I was right.
OK, enough chatting about my Husband’s crazy Butterfinger love let’s talk about these Butterfinger Cups Cupcakes!!!!
Are you watching the BIG football game in a few weeks? Keep an eye out for a fantastic Butterfinger Cups commercial!
When I thought about what to make with the new Butterfinger Cups I instantly thought of these cupcakes. I love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter.
The new Butterfinger Cups are soft and crunchy at the same time. Did I mention they are Ah-Mazing!
I love creating fun desserts to surprise our guests during events. With the big football game and Valentine’s Day coming up I wanted to create a dessert that could be used for multiple events. I love making cupcakes for events because let’s just be honest for a moment….Everyone loves cupcakes.
Valentine’s Day is coming so quickly! I decided to make hearts out of the Butterfinger Cups with a small heart cookie cutter.
I thought these were perfect for any Butterfinger fans for Valentine’s Day.
The cupcakes are dark chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting.
I thought these cupcakes would be great for football parties! I like having sweet treats to balance out all of the meat and appetizers that we end up serving for football parties.
I used super cute football cupcake wrappers to make these look perfect for a football party.
I have to admit that I cheated on the cupcakes and used a box mix. BUT I did make the peanut butter frosting from scratch. I figure this is the perfect balance of home made and easy peasy box mix.
I was able to pick up everything I needed for these cupcakes at Walmart. Keep an eye out for Butterfinger Cups to hit the shelves! Trust me you want to pick up a few packages because they will not last long!
Peanut Butter Frosting
2 cups confectioner sugar
1/2 cup butter, room temp
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1. Throw everything in your mixer and combine. Just make sure the confectioners sugar does not spray everywhere…
Trust me it can make quite a mess and you end up looking a bit crazy with confectioners sugar all over yourself.
