Have you ever walked into a hotel room and just sighed with happiness?
That is exactly what happened when I walked into our room at the Boise Riverside Hotel. We have worked with Red Lion Hotels in the past and knew that we would love the hotel they set up for us but I did not think I would swoon with happiness walking into the room.
We were in Boise for 4 days and needed a hotel that was easy to find, comfortable and one that would allow us to get some work done while on the road. The Boise Riverside Hotel met all of these requirements and so much more!
From the moment we walked into the lobby I knew we were in for a treat. We were greeted by the front desk staff warmly. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us directions to our room.
When we walked into our room we were greeted with this view…….
We were so surprised to find out we would be enjoying a suite during our visit. Can I just tell you I never wanted to leave the room!
The room at the Boise Riverside Hotel was absolutely amazing!
I just have to share the shower with you! I know that sounds a bit random and odd but look at this shower! It is huge!
I am going to fully confess to taking a really long hot shower every day we were in Boise. How can you not enjoy this gorgeous shower. The rest of the bathroom was equally gorgeous and huge!
I am pretty sure the bathroom was bigger than my freshman year dorm room.
I have a feeling one of these times we stay at a Red Lion Hotel my lovely Husband is going to strap the mattress to the top of the car and try to bring it home. I can’t even put into words the amazing night sleep we had in this bed. It was so comfortable, inviting and amazing!
I need to remember to look at the mattresses the next time we stay at a Red Lion to see who makes them. The night we got home John told me that our mattress is nothing like the mattress at the Boise Riverside Hotel and he really thought we should get a Red Lion mattress. We sleep better at Red Lion Hotels than we do at home!
We visited at the end of February so sadly the hotel pool was closed. One of the amazing front desk staff told us we have to come back in the summer. We didn’t know that the pool at the Boise Riverside Hotel is the largest outdoor pool in Boise and it is salt water. She said in the summer they do amazing packages that include a gift certificate for the pool restaurant and bar.
I am imagining sitting next to the pool in the warm Boise sun with a margarita right now…..Is it July yet?
The front lobby has some of the coolest tables I have seen….you can play chess!
Don’t worry if like me you have no clue how to play chess! They have instruction pamphlets available at each table.
One of our favorite parts of the Boise Riverside Hotel was the breakfast buffet! Oh my goodness YUM!
They have a DONUT BAR! I mean seriously have you ever seen such a thing!
You can pick out your donut, glaze and toppings! YUM!
They also serve mimosas on the weekends!
The food at the breakfast buffet was wonderful but the staff was even more amazing! We mentioned while talking to one of the staff members that we were thinking about taking a walk on the Boise Greenbelt. She told us all about her favorite places to visit and then brought a map of the greenbelt to our table and helped us decide which way to walk.
Each of the breakfast buffet staff members went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They answered our questions, had us laughing and were just genuinely amazing people!
The restaurant focuses on bringing in food that is from close to Boise. Each of the displays shows how many miles the food was transported to reach the restaurant. You can find out about the local farm that produces the potatoes or bacon right at the buffet.
As you can see we totally made ourselves comfortable in the room. We set up our laptops at the table and were able to get so much work done.
