I just pulled Blackberry Cornbread out of the oven and the house smells amazing. This was my first time making cornbread from scratch. I decided to add blackberries to see how it would taste. I can not believe how easy this recipe was to make. I will definitely be adding this to my go to recipe list. I found the recipe in the 5 Easy Steps to Healthy Cooking: 500 Recipes for Lifelong Wellness cookbook. I am really enjoying the recipes and tips in this cookbook. Each recipe is laid out in an easy to read format. There are tips to help you make the most of the recipe. The cornbread recipe was designed to be made in a cast iron skillet. I did not have one readily available so I used the tips in the cookbook on making the dish in a normal baking dish.
This cookbooks contains great recipes and wonderful tips on eating healthy. I learned a lot reading the first section of the cookbook. The book details different ingredients and healthy or not so healthy information about them. [Read more...]
