Cruising Glacier Bay Alaska

Last summer we took an amazing cruise to Glacier Bay. Cruising Glacier Bay Alaska was amazing! It is so hard to put into words what it is like to stand on the cruise ship deck and watch the glaciers calve.

The trip into Glacier Bay starts really early in the morning. I highly suggest packing a couple of reusable coffee mugs that you can take out on deck with you. Once you find your spot on deck you are most likely not going to want to move for a while. Making healthier choices with Healthy Choice!

This week I ended up at the doctors office with bronchitis. While I was there I had to step on the dreaded scale. Sadly the scale did not say the number I was hoping it would. So John and I are refocusing on making healthier choices. We headed to Walmart to find healthier options that still fit with our crazy lifestyle.

Before we left for Walmart I printed a great coupon for Healthy Choice meals. I love that these meals are quick and easy to make without being loaded down with crazy ingredients. As we were walking up to the Healthy Choice section we both saw the Top Chef meals and turned to each other and pointed to them. John knows that I am a crazy huge Top Chef fan. [Read more...]

Wow! This drink is seriously potent! When we made this we were not able to finish it due to how potent it was. We ended up changing the drink and making it into a “Ranger Special” which is what John calls his concoction with this drink. Check back next week to see how we made this drink even better.

When I think of Tequila Sunrises I instantly think of Mexico. We visited Cabo San Lucas on our Panama Canal cruise and absolutely loved it. We were only in port for 5 hours but let me just say we made the most of it we possibly could. We had a great time at the Cabo Wabo, Senor Frogs, Hard Rock Cafe, Shopping and so much more! This Copy Cat Chili’s Calypso Cooler is down right amazing! This is my new favorite cocktail! This drink tastes amazing and you honestly do not realize you are drinking alcohol. This is one of those drinks you have to be careful how many of them you enjoy.

This Copy Cat Chili’s Calypso Cooler has me dreaming of sitting on a beach with my feet in the sand listening to a calypso band. I am dreaming of the sun, beautiful turquoise water, white sand beach and great music.

I can’t wait for summer to make this drink in a huge carafe and serve it during a get together. It is the perfect hot weather drink. This drink recipe could easily be made for a crowd.
