You will need

1/2 cup bath salts
1 tablespoon baking soda
5 drops lavender essential oil

This is enough to make 1 bath worth. You can either mix the ingredients in advance and package them or put the ingredients directly into the tub under hot running water.

You will need…

1 tablespoon liquid dishwashing detergent
3 cups rubbing alcohol
10 cups water

Directions

1. Pour detergent into a clean gallon size plastic jug with a watertight cap

2. Add the alcohol and then the water. Cap the bottle and shake vigorously

3. Pour as much of the fluid as needed into your car’s windshield washer resevoir.

You will need…

2 cups water
1 1/2 cup vinegar (white or cider)
1/2 cup dish-washing liquid

 Directions

1. Using a funnel, pour all the ingredients in a 1 quart spray bottle

2. Shake well to mix

3. Spray the solution directly onto weeds, taking care not to spray any surrounding grass or desirable plants

Ingredients

1  1/2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chicken broth, beef broth, or oil or water from canned tuna

Directions

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

2. mix all ingredients into a dough

3. dust your hands with flour and shape dough into 1/2 inch round thick cookies. Set the cookies on a greased baking sheet

 4. Bake 30 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned. Cool for 30 minutes on a cookie rack. Once cool, break them into bite-sized pieces

Make Your Own…. Herbal Rinse and Shine for Hair

If you use a jar that has a metal lid make sure you place plastic or wax paper between the lid and jar to prevent the vinegar from corroding it.

You will need…

1/4 cup dried rosemary leaves
1/4 cup dried bergamot
2 cups cider vinegar
2-3 cups warm water

Directions

1. Place the herbs in a heatproof, thick glass jar, such as one used for preserves

2. Heat the vinegar until very hot but not boiling, then pout it over the herbs. Cool, then cover tightly

3. Keep the jar in a warm spot for a week, shaking it once a day

4. Line a funnel with cheesecloth and place the funnel over the jar. Strain the rinse into the jar and screw on the lid.

5. When ready to use, mix 1/3 cup of the rinse with 2-3 cups of warm water. Then pour over hear once or twice as a rinse

You will need..
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups water

Directions

1. Combine the ingredients  in a bowl and let the mixture fizz

2. when the fizzing subsides stir

3. Pour the mixture into a spritzer (spray bottle that produces a fine mist). Spray rooms that need freshening two or three times a day
