See’s Candy – Celebrate National Lollypop Day on Friday July 20th!

Did you know that this Friday is National Lollypop day? Neither did I until this week and I have to say I am rather excited. See’s Candy is celebrating National Lollypop Day by giving away a FREE Lollypop in their stores. We had the chance to visit the See’s Candy store here in Spokane and it was amazing. I have to admit I think I have only been in a See’s Candy once before and that was years ago. I am not sure how I missed out on this chocolate heaven. Oh my goodness the chocolate yumminess that is behind those glass doors. When you walk up to the door the sign says “See’s Candy A Happy Habit”.  After visiting the store I can see how it can become a happy habit. As soon as we walked in the door a See’s Sales Associate walked up and greeted us with a friendly smile and asked if we would like to sample a piece of chocolate. The chocolate she offered was not a tiny crumb, broken piece or day old piece of chocolate it was 2 full pieces of yummy melt in your mouth chocolate in a variety of flavors. John decided to try the coconut cream with milk chocolate. John absolutely loved it. He had this look on his face when he bit into the chocolate and I am pretty sure he said “oh my goodness” as he was enjoying it. I tried a mint patty and it was divine. We had just been out to lunch and the mint was the perfect treat after a spicy lunch.

John was incredibly amused when he found the Seegars.  He had so much fun with the Seegar it was really cute.

See’s has multiple varieties of really amazing lollypops available right now. We picked up a couple of each one. John is so excited to try the Cafe Latte variety and I can’t wait to enjoy a butterscotch lollypop.

The chocolate case is truly amazing. There are so many varieties of chocolate that I had to walk up and down the case a few times trying to decide what I wanted to get. We put together super cute boxes of chocolate and brittle for John’s Mom and Grandma. I am so excited to surprise them with the chocolate. I know they are going to absolutely love it.

John was so excited when he found out they carried Key Lime Truffles. Oh my goodness these smell divine. I have not indulged in one yet. I am holding out until after dinner so I can truly enjoy it.

The lovely ladies at See’s wrapped our gifts for John’s Mom and Grandma for us and made them look amazing. It was such a surprise and a treat that they wrapped everything up for us. I will definitely be visiting See’s again for more gifts.

To celebrate National Lollypop Day See’s is hosting a National Lollypop Sweepstakes –  - the grand prize is 2 round trip tickets to San Francisco, 3 night hotel accommodations, VIP See’s factory tour for 2, $100/day per diem for meals, and roundtrip transportation from airport to hotel. People can start entering on 7/5.

 See’s will also be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for “largest lollypop” – weighing in at 7,000 pounds, it will be on display to the public in San Francisco on July 20 in honor of National Lollypop Day.
