10 of our favorite places in the world! Iceland, Belize, Hawaii, Barbados and more
Iceland is one of our top 10 places in the world. We had so much fun spending Thanksgiving in Iceland a few years ago. We can not wait until we have another chance to visit Iceland again.
Altun Ha Mayan Ruins in Belize were amazing. I never thought I would hold baby alligators for a photo. Being able to walk up and explore the Mayan Ruins, listen to Howler Monkeys and see Manatees in the wild was fantastic.
Big Island Hawaii holds a special place in our hearts. I went to school in Hawaii for a little bit, John proposed on the beach on the Big Island and so many other amazing memories here.
We visited Venice on our honeymoon. It was a magical rainy few days in Venice. St. Marks square flooded while we were there so we had the chance to walk on the boardwalks. We took a gondola ride in the rain and stood listening to music in St. Marks Square while getting poured on.
The Anhinga Trail in the Everglades National Park is one of my must visit locations before any Caribbean Cruise. I am always amazed at how many alligators we see and have the chance to photograph. Some of my favorite photos are from walking the Anhinga Trail. Our kitchen is decorated with these photos and always remind me of how special this place is.
Yellowstone National Park is one of the crown jewels in the National Park system. You truly get to see how amazing the park is during a visit. I love that each area of the park is unique and different. You can spend a few hours exploring hot pools, checking out Yellowstone Falls or watching bears walk by your car.
Mendenhall Glacier was awe inspiring. We spent the morning visiting Mendenhall Glacier during our Alaska Cruise. Even on a cloudy misty day the glacier was vibrant blue and so worth the visit.
Key West is unlike any city we have visited. There is such a fun tropical vibe and you are still in the US. You can see and do so many things during the day in Key West. I highly suggest watching sunset at Mallory Square, enjoying Key Lime Pie at Blue Heaven and soaking up as much of Key West as you possibly can.
If I had to recommend a tropical island vacation Barbados would be at the top of the list. The white sand beaches, amazing blue water and friendly locals makes it a must see place in the Caribbean. John would tell you it is a must visit to have a Banks Beer.
There is nothing quite like a visit to Las Vegas. Where else in the world can you post for a photo with Elvis and then hit the Strip all in the span of 10 minutes. There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas. Each time we visit we find more reasons to plan another trip to Vegas.
We absolutely love to travel and explore the world. There are so many places to visit that we are always dreaming of our next trip.
