This was the first time I stayed on property at Disney World and I was really impressed. It was so easy to move between the hotel and the park. The Disney Yacht Club Resort is minutes away from Epcot. You can easily walk from the hotel to the world kingdom at Epcot within 5-10 minutes.
I was able to visit Epcot multiple times during the event since it was so close. Each time we had a few hour break I could pop over and check out the Flower and Garden show and visit one of the countries. You can also take transportation to the other parks directly from the resort.
The Disney Yacht Club is designed to feel like a grand New England-style yacht club at this lakeside hotel.
I had a lovely balcony with a view over the bay and grounds. Sadly it was way to hot during my stay to sit out and enjoy the view. This would be perfect during milder times of the year, if that is even possible in Orlando 🙂
After spending the day in the park there is nothing better than laying down and putting your feet up. Thankfully the beds at the Yacht Club were super comfy and perfect for this.
The bathroom had seriously fantastic grapefruit toiletries that I loved! You can purchase them at the gift store at the Yacht Club if you also fall in love with them.
After closing down the park at close to midnight having this coffee maker and tea in the room was a life saver. You can enjoy a hot cup of coffee without having to leave your room and brave the mad rush that is Disney.
The grounds of the Disney Yacht Club are simply gorgeous. You feel like you are on a tropical vacation. You can easily walk the walkways over to the Boardwalk and other Disney properties.
After staying on site I definitely see the benefits of being right in the park. If you are planning a trip to Disney World you can find out more about the Yacht Club on the Walt Disney World Website.
