I have to start off by sending everyone a huge thank you!!! You may have noticed that posts have been a bit light the past couple of weeks. Last night I flew home after almost 14 days on the road and face planted in my bed. Prior to starting our adventures to 5 National Parks, I had so many plans for getting posts done while we traveled. As we started on our adventures I realized that I needed a bit of a break and to just lean into the adventures.
The past two weeks have been so uplifting and needed it is hard to put it into words! From visiting Dry Tortugas National Park that has been on our bucket list for longer than I can count to spending time with blog friends I feel so energized and excited to dive head first into the future.
Dry Tortugas was mind blowing! So beautiful and I can’t wait to go back and spend more time there. We completely lucked out and it was spring migration while we were there. Birds galore including Indigo Buntings which I have always wanted to see.
The next time we visit Dry Tortugas we have to spend more than just one day at the park. I think we would love to spend a couple of days camping there when the weather is not crazy hot.
John is working through our pictures which I can’t wait to show you! Here is a couple from my phone that I loved.
From Dry Tortugas, we headed back to Miami for a quick overnight and a visit to Everglades early in the morning. Have you ever heard an alligator grunt and groan. It is hard to describe the noise and the chills that went through my body. This giant gator started huffing and puffing as we were taking a picture. I quickly speed walked down the Anhinga Trail as fast as I humanly could make it.
I have to admit that we had Key Lime Milkshakes from Robert is Here for breakfast. It is one of our favorite places to visit when we are in the Miami area and the only time we could get there was at 9 am. So breakfast milkshakes became a thing. lol!
Sadly it was then time to head to Orlando so John could fly home and get back to work. I spent the rest of the week in Orlando at the Mom 2.0 Summit and loved it. There is just something so magical about being in the room with other women who are working towards their dreams on a daily basis. I came home so inspired and uplifted. I made a 4-page life to do list on my flight home last night.
Oh and I wore a dress….such a rare event I had to take a photo to make sure I remembered the moment. LOL!
