This week I kept up my year of gutting/deep cleaning the house spree big time! I am not sure what has come over me but I am finally giving myself permission to get rid of things I have been holding onto! I don’t get why we hold onto things we know we will never use again.
I dove under our guest room bed which I haven’t honestly looked under in probably six years! I was amazed to see posters and framed prints that I have had since college 20+ years ago. For some reason, I have moved them at least four times and yet never put them up on the wall. They have just been piled up under the guest room bed for a just in case day. This week I was done with thinking about just in case and went through all of them.
My life goal right now is to minimize our house and make it so we know what is in the house. No hidden corners of the closet we haven’t looked in, no scary boxes under the beds we are scared to look in, no really scary corners of the freezer where we don’t know what the iced over food really is.
I just can’t take it anymore! It is time to purge and just get rid of stuff!
Load 1 to donate!
Load 2 I upgraded to our neighbors truck! I forgot to take pictures of load 3. By this point I was so tired I just needed to get it done so I could sit on the couch and take some Advil.
Carrying boxes and bookshelves upstairs reminded me of how much my 40-year-old body was not prepared for this endeavor.
Kitty Kitty thinks I cleaned out the downstairs for her to have a giant cat playground.
All of this cleaning = margaritas at our favorite Spokane Mexican Restaurant! Rancho Chico on Division in Spokane. So dang good!
