Cooking up Comfort with Kraft Cheesy Skillets!
It is snowy and cold her in Spokane right now…….I keep asking myself if it is Spring yet but so far the answer is a resounding NO!
I crave comfort foods when it is cold and wintry outside. I want something that is hot, filling, and just reminds me of the foods my Mom made growing up.
Since I was traveling last week and knew if I didn’t make dinner for my dear Husband ahead of time he would not cook himself I picked up a couple boxes of Kraft Cheesy Skillets at Walmart.
This is the ultimate in comfort food for my Husband! Stuffed with meat, cheese and pasta what more can you ask for!
I made up a big batch of Kraft Cheesy Skillets Chili Cheese Mac before I left for Cincinnati.
If you have been looking for fast, easy, amazing comfort food I have to tell you Kraft Cheesy Skillets Chili Mac fits the bill!
I picked up Kraft Cheesy Skillets at Walmart. They were not where I expected them to be so I made you a cute little photo map.
I went to the pasta section first but they were actual with the Hispanic Food and Box Dinners.
Walmart had a great selection of Kraft Cheesy Skillets. I went with the Chili Mac and Ranch Potatoes because I knew John would love them.
Are you ready to see how crazy easy these are to prepare!!!!
The only ingredients that do not come in the box are a pound of ground beef and 2 cups of water. Everything else you need is in the box!
All you have to do is brown the beef. Check out my huge cast iron skillet. It was my Grandmothers and my Mom gave it to me a few months ago. It has become my designated comfort food pan.
There is just something amazing about cooking meals in a skillet that my Grandmother used for years. I can’t imagine the recipes this skillet has made over the years.
Once the ground beef is browned you add in the water, seasoning pack and noodles. Stir together until they are combined and bring the mixture to a boil.
Once the mixture is boiling you just lower it to a simmer and place a lid on the skillet. 15-20 minutes later your meal is done!
Be prepared for your house to smell amazing!
It was so nice being able to prepare this before I headed out of town.
John called me while I was in Cincinnati and thanked me for making this ahead of time for him.
He ended up having a really long day at work and was so hungry when he walked in the door. He was able to heat up the Kraft Cheesy Skillet Chili Mac in a few minutes and enjoy the perfect comfort food after a long day.
