Hi from Puerto Vallarata Mexico!
I have been finding my bliss in Puerto Vallarta the past day or so.
Have you ever visited a place that just feels right? Where you instantly relax and want to just soak up as much as you can?
That is exactly how I am feeling about Puerto Vallarta. I have been here a little over 24 hours and I am more relaxed than I have been in a while.
I must admit the open air massage that I had this morning may have started the day off on the right foot but it just kept getting better and better.
Today I helped a couple who is on the press trip renew their wedding vows. We stood at the front of a historic church Downtown Puerto Vallarta and they exchanged vows. It was honestly one of those moments you can’t put into words.
They have been married 13 days and want to renew their vows and commitment to each other in each country they visit. As I stood at the front of the church performing the ceremony it was such a reminder of my wedding day and my commitment to John and our marriage.
I should probably mention that I am ordained to perform weddings in the US, not so sure about Mexico but that is ok since they were already married in the US.
So there is a random odd fact about me for the day 🙂 But back to the bliss of Puerto Vallarta
Since being here I have found myself melting, not just because of the heat and the humidity but truly my stress melting away.
The vibe of this city is unbelievable. The city has an artsy, tropical, down to earth feel. I don’t feel like I need to be dressed up to the max and done up in make up to have a good time.
You can truly be who you are and the city and the people embrace that. Today I learned of a man who stacks rocks into gorgeous designs on the beach. He does what he loves and the city loves him back.
We are staying at the CasaMagna Marriot and it is gorgeous. I was talking with Raul one of the servers by the pool and he told me he has the best office in the world. That he loves coming to work and loves talking with guests. Each time I have seen him and talked with him he has had a smile on his face and waves hello.
I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel. They truly make you feel like part of the family. A security guard came up to me today who I met yesterday when I arrived just to make sure I was having fun and to see if I needed anything.
This is the vibe, feeling and experience I am having all around Puerto Vallarta.
I am so excited to explore the city for the next few days and experience more of the city.
