Let’s be honest and say that December is one of those times of year that we all have to take a deep breath and know that it will all turn out ok. From the last minute party invites to the gifts that need to be prepped it can be a crazy month. I am feeling the same way! This month it feels like every time I pick up my phone there is a last minute holiday party or get together to rsvp for or John is reminding me about his work party which somehow didn’t end up on the calendar. I always try to bring a thank you for the hostess or host of these parties that is personalized and fun. I wanted to share some of my favorite last minute DIY Hostess gifts you can make today.
Trust me we have all been at the point when you look up, and it is 2 pm and you realize you have an event in a few hours. You need/want to bring a hostess gift, but you don’t want to spend a ton of money, don’t want to bring a pre-made gift that has no personality and you don’t want it to look like you threw it together in the car on the way there.
Don’t worry these gifts could actually be put together in the parking lot of Sam’s Club and no one will know the difference. I have done it..I admit it. Somedays you have to do what youĀ have to do. š
I visitedĀ a local Sam’s Club with my parents and John and stocked up on everything I needed to make a few different hostess gifts. We had so much fun running all over the store together. We all came up with different ideas for hostess gifts. This first gift was actually John’s idea. He is a coffee fan, so he wanted to create a coffee lovers hostess gift that were easy to put together and oh so cute!
I threw in the cute part. Pretty sure John would shake his head at me if I called his gift cute but I think it is oh so cute and perfect for the holidays!
The base for all of our gifts were a great set of Maker’s Mark boxes we found. There are multiple sizes all combined in one set of holiday gift boxes. These along with some Maker’s Mark tissue paper were just what we needed to get our DIY hostess gifts started.
For the Coffee Lovers Hostess gift, we found Starbucks Holiday Blend K-cups, our favorite Stroopwafels and a cute set of travel mugs that have hot chocolate in them.
You know I had to make a gift for chai tea fans. Any time chai tea is involved it is a good thing. This gift was super easy to put together and I think it turned out so cute. You could also pick up a magazine or great book at Sam’s Club if you know what your recipient loves to read. I love all of the holiday adult coloring books they had in stock. The perfect gift to bring on a few moments of relaxation this holiday season.
I also wanted to make a gift that was perfect for a family or couple so we made up this Italian night dinner hostess gift. We found packages of pasta sauce, pasta, and bread that we could easily break into 3-4 different gifts. One of the great things about shopping at Sam’s Club is I could buy in bulk and make multiple gifts from one purchase.
