During the Zootopia Event in Orlando I had the opportunity to explore Hollywood Studios Disney World. Visiting Hollywood Studios Disney World was a walk back memory lane for me.
I had the opportunity to reminisce about my favorite memories from the Studios while enjoying all of the new rides, attractions and the amazing Star Wars themed fireworks show!
20-ish years ago I was a Cast Member working the back lot area and this merchandise stand. I spent the summer running up and down New York Street with an invisible dog leash. My days were spent chasing my crazy invisible dog up and down the street and entertaining guests that were visiting the park. I LOVED IT!
I was able to be a total goofball and call it work.
Flash forward to 2016 and wandering around the park was honestly amazing. I felt like I was looking back in time to my late teens/early 20’s and remembering life then. The dreams, goals and plans that I thought were set for my life. I could never have imagined that life would be what it is today.
One of my favorite things about visiting any of the parks at Walt Disney World is the memories that you not only create but think back on. The moments when you see something in the park and giggle because you remember riding that ride for the first time or meeting Micky Mouse for the first time.
Walt Disney World offers something for all ages! I am so excited today to share my experience at Hollywood Studios Disney World!
Hollywood Studios Disney World is the home of Star Wars, the Tower of Terror, Rock N Roller Coaster and so much more!
When you enter the park you take a stroll down Hollywood Blvd. Filled with glitz, glam and a few Mickey Ears and Balloons.
Keep an eye out for street performers and characters walking along the street. You never know what entertainment will be right around the corner on Hollywood Blvd.
The Tower of Terror is just that terrifying yet fun. You feel the wind in your face and the floor rising to great you as you experience a rush unlike any other ride I have been on. Trust me the wait is worth it but make sure you don’t eat lunch right before hand 🙂
Any Star Wars fans in your house? Hollywood Studios Disney World is the home of Star Wars!!!!
Make sure you keep an eye out for Storm Troopers guarding the perimeter. They mean business and will stop any intruders from entering the area.
Star Wars Launch Bay is the perfect place to escape the Florida heat and rest for a few moments. You can enjoy an air conditioned moment or two while looking back over the history of Star Wars. This 10 minutes look back on the movies is great! Plus after the movie you can explore the Launch Bay and check out the replica props, costumes, concept artwork, and so much more!
Make sure and look for your favorite characters around the park. We met up with Mike and Sully and we weren’t scared. 🙂
You might even find a glass slipper along the way. Who knows you may be the next Disney Princess.
If you love movies take a ride on the The Great Movie Ride! This indoor ride is a great way to rest your feet and look back on the great movies of our time. The ride features nearly 50 lifelike Audio-Animatronics replicas of legendary movie stars, lavishly produced set pieces and wondrous special effects.
The Great Movie Ride immerses you in some of the most memorable moments in motion picture history. One thing to note if you have kids there is a small bit of action during the ride with the actors. Just something to be aware of.
One of the true highlights of our entire trip to DisneyWorld was experiencing the Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Make sure this is part of your vacation plans. WOW! WOW! WOW!
Seriously this was truly amazing! I teared up a bit watching the fireworks!
The Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party includes out of this world desserts and beverages. There are cocktails for the adults and themed drinks for the kids. One thing to know is the adult cocktails are delish and go down super easily! If it is a hot summer evening you may want to designate who gets to enjoy the cocktails and who gets a mocktail. 🙂
Make sure you check out the Darth Vader chocolate cupcakes and the other desserts. OH MY YUM!!!
Don’t forget that Zootopia is in theaters NOW and the entire family will love it!
OFFICIAL BOILERPLATE: The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”), opens in theaters on March 4, 2016
