During our RV roadtrip we had the chance to spend the day at the Mall of America.

It had been a few years since I visited the Mall of America and WOW I had forgotten just how big it is.

Seriously there is an amusement park right in the middle of the mall. We decided to skip riding on the rides and instead indulged in a nice frosty adult beverage to relax after 3 days on the road 🙂

MOA Rides

I was truly amazed at how much there is to see and do at the Mall of America!

Want to know my one disappointment…..See the photo above, in the bottom left corner it says This is Hard Rock….well sadly the Hard Rock was not quite open and still under construction.

My family has a bit of a Hard Rock Cafe competition to see who can get the most cafes and this would have been a new one. I am going to have to book a trip to the Mall of America when it opens so I can check this one off the list.

Lego at Mall of America

Can we talk Legos for a moment.

I mean seriously let’s take a second and talk about the crazy, amazing, over the top, holy cow how many hours did it take to build these Lego structures at the Mall of America!

I am not going to admit how many photos I took of the Lego structures but let’s just say it was more than 25 and less than 100….or so

Lego

HELLO LEGOS!

Lego at MOA

Yes that is a helicopter made of Legos….

LEGOS

That happens to have Lego figurines hanging from it….oh my!

I could have spent hours looking at the Legos. So frickin amazing and cool to see!

Peeps store

If you are a fan of Peeps and well who isn’t there is a giant store filled with everything Peeps you can imagine and somethings I never imagined.

A Yankee Candle that smells like Peeps…yep they have one

Peeps shaped pillows and slippers…yep they have them

Inside peeps store

My dear Husband was oh so excited that that hotness meter ranked him Blazing Hot!

Kokomos sign

When your feet get a bit sore and you are ready for a break there are more restaurants that I could count at the Mall of America.

We had dinner at Kokomos and it was great. The Key Lime Pie was delicious and well worth saving room for.

We also spent some time at Dick’s Last Resort….This was my first visit but definitely not my last visit to Dick’s Last Resort. Let’s just say the sarcasm was flowing and the waiter had me howling with laughter.

Dicks last Resort

oh and I might have enjoyed a frosty adult beverage that was larger than my head……….Trust me this is one way to relax after being on the road for many days in a RV 🙂

You can find out so much more about the Mall of America on their website

They are also really active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

This too was my first visit to MOA and my son and I loved it. The Hard Rock is still not open and they are building yet another wing on the mall out towards IKEA. The rides are really cool however we got chewed out on the log ride for filming while on the ride. Otherwise it was fun but I spent too much money. Lol
