I am not sure if I have mentioned it before but I am a total Bird Nerd. I absolutely love bird watching. I started when I was in college and still love it lets say a few years later. We visited Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge and my birding dreams came true!

I am going to fully admit right now that I squealed in excitement when I saw this Indigo Bunting. This bird has been on my dream list of birds for years and it posed perfectly for me to take a picture.

We turned the corner in the refuge and another dream bird appeared. Thank goodness I have a Husband who loves bird watching as much as I do because I was asking him to stop the car every five feet.

This Night Heron posed for pictures for a while for me. It was so much fun seeing one up close and next to the car.

There were a ton of wading birds all over the place. We sadly did not see any Roseatte Spoonbills but the trip was still amazing.

As we were leaving Ding Dang Darling Wildlife Refuge we got to watch an amazing sunset over the water. It was the perfect way to end an amazing day of bird watching.
