Nishinomiya-Tsutakawa Japanese Gardens Spokane at Manito Park
Nishinomiya-Tsutakawa Japanese Gardens Spokane is in the heart of Manito Park located on the South Hill of Spokane. The gardens are open to the public and make for a fantastic afternoon picnic spot. The gardens are wonderful year round. In the spring and fall you can see the leaves changing on the trees.
John and I spent a quiet afternoon relaxing in the Japanese Gardens at Manito. I can’t wait to visit the gardens in a few weeks while the leaves are changing colors. I love how quiet and serene the gardens are in the middle of the city. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from our afternoon in the gardens.
There are benches throughout the garden. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful. It is hard to believe that you sitting in the middle of they city.
The Koi in the pond are the size of footballs. I have never seen koi as big as the ones at the Japanese Gardens.
The Japanese Gardens would be an amazing setting for wedding photos or family pictures. There are so many places in the garden to take beautiful pictures. I love the bridge going over the koi pond.
During the summer you can also check out the Dahlia Garden at Manito. This area is filled with wonderful dahlias in all shapes and sizes.
