During our visit to Napa we came across a fun tourist surprise…the Old Faithful Geyser of California
The Old Faithful Geyser of California is located right next to Chateau Montelana. We stopped in for a visit before we headed to wine tasting at Chateau Montelana.
We were told that during the wet season the Old Faithful Geyser can blow multiple times every hour. During the summer and the drier times of the year it slows down and only goes every thirty minutes or so.
The Old Faithful Geyser shoots water 60-100 feet in the air. It was quite impressive to watch the Geyser blow.
The Old Faithful Geyser of California feels like you are stepping back in time a bit and visiting an old school attraction. I am not sure why but I really felt like we were visiting a piece of Americana from the olden days.
The Old Faithful Geyser of California felt like one of those must stop places from old school road trips with the family.
There is a petting zoo for the kids. Fainting goats that sadly we did not have a chance to see faint.
There are ample benches and seating areas around the geyser. If you are looking for a fun place to kill a couple of hours during a trip to Napa than this is definitely a place to consider.
Old Faithful Geyser of California is open year round
