I had the opportunity to meet with P&G this past month and learn about several great products to help you love your pet and not the mess. My trip started in Cincinnati and meet several other bloggers at the 21C hotel.
I would classify this hotel as awesome! Where else do you see tall plastic yellow penguins throughout the hotel? You can move any of the 81 penguins around and just have fun with them. It made for a great conversation starter while getting to know other great bloggers and brand ambassadors.
I have to say that I was very impressed with P&G! They really take the time to provide great products like Iams, Swiffer and Febreze. They also take time to be involved within their community! I feel this is a sign of a great company.
Our first event was at Washington park in downtown Cincinnati. P&G had several events going on in the park like signing up for the Iams Flying Fur Run and Yappy Hour where dog lovers can meet for food, drinks and pooch programs!
We met the second day at the Cincinnati Zoo. What a great location for a conference! It was so much fun to go on lunch break and run around taking pictures of animals like flamingos, elephants, hippos and penguins. There was flowers everywhere and they were equally as impressive.
The conference had excellent classes taught by people who love animals! Our first class was about relationship based training. This is much different than older traditional alpha based training. Relationship based training is off the principle of rewarding the good behaviors as opposed to punishing the bad behaviors.
For all the Big bang Theory fans out there, this was the same principle used by Sheldon to train Penny with chocolates. With all humor set aside, this is the same principle humans have used to work with dolphins and whales. Imagine trying to get a whale to do something by saying you are the boss! The reality is relationship based training builds a stronger bond with you and your pet while creating your desired results.
We then had the opportunity to see and try new products to help clean up after your pets. Swiffer has a new Swiffer Sweep & Trap that uses rotating blades to pick up large particles and flicks them into a dirt bin. At the same time, the attached Swiffer Sweeper dry cloth traps dirt, dust and hair that brooms can leave behind.
This is doing your sweeping and dry mopping all in one! Then there is the Febreze fabric refresher allergen reducer. This product reduces up to 95% of inanimate allergens from pollen, pet dander, and dust mite matter that can become airborne from fabrics.
I must admit that I really never paid much attention to pet food until the past few years. We thought it was a good idea to change our pets food to a healthy choice option. Wow this not popular! We have all sorts of half full bags of pet food that was refused to be eaten. Luckily we found IAMS Healthy Naturals and it has restored peace in our family. I was relieved at this conference to find out how much research went into IAMS pet food for overall health of your pet.
I want to leave you with a couple videos from IAMS. They will make you smile, laugh and even pull at your heartstrings! Enjoy : )
