During our visit to Grand Rapids we had a wonderful time at Robinette Cellars. Located an easy drive from downtown Grand Rapids and near the Frederik Meijer Scuplture Garden this is the perfect spot to stop for a bit of wine tasting.
Robinette Cellar Wine Tasting includes a souvenir wine glass and tasting sampler of six wines. It is only $3 a person or $5 for a couple and so worth it. If you bring your glass back for a return visit the tasting is free.
Robinette’s makes all of their own ciders on site with their cider mill. Make sure and check out the Apple Cherry Cider! It has a smooth cherry flavor that is fantastic.
The Cherry Mead is made with honey from the property and completely local ingredients!
Robinette’s grows more than 26 types of apples including now growing heirloom applets. The bar was built in 1881.
Their wines are only sold on site so make sure and leave room in your bag to bring home one or two bottles. We ended up bringing back a few bottles they were so good. There #1 top cellar is their Passion Peach Spumante. This sweet wine has a fruity bubbly flavor with peach and passion fruit.
The Blueberry Wine smells amazing and tastes great. Made from Michigan grown blueberries the flavor is sweet with a but of light tartness.
Robinette Cellar is located at 3142 4 Mile Rd NW at the East Beltline (M44) in Grand Rapids
