During our trip to Napa we had the opportunity to visit Saddleback Cellars located in Oakville, Califnornia.
Saddleback Cellars is truly in the heart of Napa Valley.
The first thing you notice when you pull up to Saddleback Cellars is the comfortable feel to the winery. This is not a stuffy hoity toity winery!
Saddleback Cellars is a place you can hang out with a picnic lunch and talk with great people.
The first thing you see when you pull up is the tractors and picnic area.
The picnic area at Saddleback Cellars is right next to the grape vines.
You really can’t get much closer to the vineyard if you tried! I can’t imagine how beautiful this area must be in Fall when the grapes are being harvested.
Saddleback Cellars produces between 5 and 6 thousand cases of wine a year. Their focus is to craft the highest quality wines they can each year.
Saddleback Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon and is the focal point of the winery; although they make a variety of wonderful wines both from our Estate Vineyard in Oakville along with many small lots of varietals from Northern California.
Saddleback Cellars Wines include: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Merlot and Zinfandel – and even smaller lots, made especially for our Posse Wine Club, which include: Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, Charbono, Petite Sirah, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
