How would you like to Live your own 5-star vacation story in Puerto Rico.
Trust me when I tell you Puerto Rico is a must see destination!
One of the best parts of visiting Puerto Rico is you do not need a passport or foreign money traveling from the United States.
All you have to do is hop on a plane and you are in tropical paradise!
We have had the pleasure of visiting Puerto Rico a few times and I must say I would go back tomorrow if the opportunity arose.
Here are a few of our must see places for visiting Puerto Rico!
Visit Old San Juan and explore the forts
The forts are easily accesible in old San Juan. You can wonder around and get fantastic pictures during your visit. There is a huge green lawn that is perfect for relaxing and flying a kite.
I suggest picking up a tropical ice cream cone from a street vendor, soaking up the sun and enjoying the atmosphere and fun that is Puerto Rico!
A photo in the guard overlooks is pretty much mandatory. 🙂
Visit Restaurant Barrachina were the Pina Colada was created!
It just seems mandatory to try a Pina Colada at the original location. It would be so wrong to not take the opportunity to enjoy this amazing fruity cocktail at its origin. Or so I tell myself each time we are in Puerto Rico.
Visit El Yungue the only rainforst in the US National Park Service
Eat Mofango and every other Puerto Rican food you can get your hands on!
Oh in case you are wondering Mofango is fried plaintains and ah-mazing!
Eat at a food truck!
Trust me on this one! The food at the Puerto Rican food trucks is amazing!
There are so many amazing things to see and do in Puerto Rico! Even after visiting there three times I have a huge list of things I still want to do!
-Kayak in the bioluminescent bay
-Soak up the sun for an entire day on a gorgeous tropical beach! There is 270 miles of coastline to chose from in Puerto Rico
-Explore other portions of the island we have not had a chance to visit
-Eat as much Puerto Rican food as we possibly can. I would love to take a cooking class while there.
-Learn the best way to prepare a pina colada from the origanal location
-Tour Bacardi Rum factory
