The Victorian Inn is located about 3 blocks from the main street of Cannery Row. Just enough out of town that it is super quiet at night and you don’t have to walk for hours to get back to the hotel. In fact you can just walk down the hill a few blocks and you are in the heart of Cannery Row.
My room was a corner suite and absolutely fantastic. I felt bad that it was only me because I am pretty sure the room is bigger than our first house. The Victorian Inn dates back to the early 1900’s. The first records of the inn indicated that the Lang family lived here as early as 1907. The house is substantial when you look at the homes surrounding the block. The Victorian Inn features rooms perfect for a couples getaway or a family vacation.
The hotel offers a lovely breakfast in their main dining area which was included with our room. They also offer an afternoon wine and cheese tasting in the main dining area. You can sit by the fire in the Victorian parlor and enjoy complimentary wine and cheese each day from 4:30-5:30pm.
The Victorian Inn is perfectly located for a great stay in the Cannery Row area. There is a CVS a couple of blocks away that is open 24 hours a day in case you forget anything. There are gorgeous waterfront restaurants and eateries only a few blocks down the hill. Plus if you find amazing gifts and things to bring home while walking Cannery Row you are only a few blocks back to the hotel.
The suite I was in is located on the third floor in the corner of the hotel. The room included a lovely sitting room and kitchenette area with a wood burning fire place. The kitchenette has a small fridge, sink and counter area along with a full size dining room table.
The sitting area has ample seating and a flat screen tv. The bedroom is quite large with a king size bed, desk and amazing window seat that you can enjoy views out to the bay. The windows open giving you the chance to enjoy the cool breeze off the water if you choose. There is also a wood burning fire place in the bedroom. The desk was large enough to work out plus there was a side table near the window seat.
The hotel offers wi-fi complimentary with your stay. I will say that I had a few moments that I was not able to fully connect to the internet. That may have been due to me traveling with other bloggers and we tend to hog the wi-fi any chance we get 🙂
The bathroom in my room was comfortable with a shower/tub along with a seperate sink/mirror area perfect for getting ready in the morning. A few of the other bloggers had rooms that included large jetted tubs.
Each of the writers that I am traveling with has had great things to say about the Victorian Inn. Each of the rooms offers something a little different. You can find out more about the Victorian Inn by checking out their website – or calling the hotel at 800-232-4141
