What a week! I kicked off the week at home working on some big life decisions with John. I know I am being vague but we are not quite ready to share them out with the world quite yet. Trust me we will let everyone know soon what we are working on and how excited we are.
Wednesday morning I headed to NYC to meet with CVS and hear about the new innovations and focus they are working on. I talk a lot about how travel isn’t always pretty but it always has something that makes you giggle or some type of adventure. On Wednesday my flight was delayed out of Seattle so we got to NYC a bit late. I ended up having to change for my dinner with CVS in the bathroom at JFK. I needed to hop in a car and head to town so I waited to do my make up until I was in the car.
My Uber driver had some serious entertainment giggling at me while I tried to put on my make up in stop and go New York traffic. I am happy to say I did not poke my eye out or blind myself with a mascara wand though I was a bit nervous about it a few times.
Meeting with CVS was amazing! They are working so hard to take care of our entire health and wellness needs. They want to make sure we are healthy and have the tools we need to be healthy year round not just on the days we feel sick.
From healthier snack items at the check out counter to removing trans fat from CVS branded products they are truly focused on taking care of our whole bodies. AND they will have a line of Korean beauty products in store. I am so excited to try these products. I have been really nervous to try them not knowing what I was getting into if I ordered them online. I love that CVS will have vetted the products and made sure they are what they say they are.
I also love that they are bringing in eye care, ear care, and more signage to make sure we can easily find what we need in stores. I can’t wait to try curbside pick up and ordering from the app. We are heading out on a road trip soon and I think curbside pick up and ordering on the app are going to save us so much time so we can get to more parks.
After meeting with CVS I am so excited to share more in the upcoming months of the work they are doing. I left the meeting feeling inspired to take small steps towards being healthier, taking care of my skin, and eating better snacks.
From NYC I hopped a flight to SLC for the SNAP Conference. This week feels like the week of acronyms. I wonder how many more I can throw in this post. LOL!
This was my first time attending the SNAP Conference which is for creative, diy, and food bloggers. It was great being here and I learned some new tools, hung out with great friends, and finally got to see more of SLC.
Pretty sure I had the best gnocchi of my life at a restaurant called Sea Salt. It was divine! 5 gourmet cheeses I couldn’t pronounce smothered over fresh made gnocchi. I wonder if I can go there for breakfast this morning.
I may dream of this gnocchi for a while it was that good.
Now I am waiting for John to get to SLC so we can head to Arches National Park for a few days. I love being able to extend trips and get time in national parks. John is so excited to get updated photos of the park and share more travel tips and info on his new site Park Ranger John, which I hope you have checked out!
I hope you have an amazing week!!!
