This week kicked off with my parents still being in town and them helping us with some major projects. Oh my goodness at 70+ years old my parents are beasts. I can only hope to be even half as energetic as they are. They helped me attack the back shed and get it super organized. This project has been on the to-do list for longer than I want to admit and they made it happen.
It didn’t matter that it was 100+ degrees outside when they set their minds to something they make it happen. We now have a completely gutted, organized and re-arranged back shed that is crazy amazing.
This week has also been all about the kittens. I know this is such a shock. lol!
I have to tell you the Pipsqueaks name may be changing to Squeaky PEE! A funny thing happened this week..or at least it is funny now that it is over. I realized that Pipsqueak had managed to get locked in the pantry for a few hours. When I found him and got him in my arms I also realized that for some reason my arm was wet. When I held him out from me I realized that he was so scared he was quite literally peeing all over the place. I am pretty sure the cat had about 2/3 of his body weight in pee that was non-stop flowing over me and the floor. So now his name has been updated to Squeaky Pee because he is a squeaky meowing cat when he wants to be and clearly he has no issues peeing. lol!
He is also still a super scaredy cat that we only see once or twice a day if we are lucky. I hear him playing with Bandit at night but that is about it. Bandit, on the other hand, is Mr. cool! He has bonded with Fluffy and they are almost inseparable. If one walks by the other is quickly following right behind.
I mean can you handle the cuteness!
Bandit even slept on my desk next to me for a while this week which made me oh so happy!
Kitty Kitty just keeps watching over them from on top of my desk. I am pretty sure she just rolls her eyes and thinks that she is the queen and they can bow down to her. LOL!
I did pick up this Cat Stand from Amazon this week. As you can see they are not having a problem playing on it at all. It took about 2.2 seconds for them to all jump on it. I have even seen Squeaky P on it a few times which makes me happy.
This week was super hot in Spokane so we decided to do a few Random Acts of Kindness as we were heading home from the grocery store. We bought a big box of Fudgesicles and passed them out to the road workers that were standing on the side of the road. It was so fun seeing how excited they were for a popsicle. It felt great being able to spread a bit of joy on a hot August day.
I switched up my mantra tattoo for this week. I have been meditating daily and really focusing on the good in life.
This week I started reading Gabrielle Bernstein’s book – Add More -Ing to Your Life, a hip guide to happiness. This is the third book I have read from Gabrielle Bernstein and I just love her positive thoughts and happiness in life.
Light Box Arts sent me this gorgeous light box for my office. I am so excited to get new batteries and get it lit up in the office. They have so many cool designs and you can change them out whenever you want to. I had a hard time just picking one design. You can also upload your own photos and create a design for your light box. I think this would make such a cool wedding or birthday gift for someone. I may have to create one with our wedding photo for my office. It would be a great reminder of our love on a daily basis. Plus think of what you could make with your travel photos. I have so many ideas for adding quotes to some of my favorite travel photos and having them to interchange in my office. Oh, the ideas that are whirling through my head.
You can also connect your Instagram page to make it super easy to make a light box. So much fun!
I couldn’t help myself and had to design a few custom ones with photos from Costa Rica and the lake near our house. Which one should I order for the office? This could become a bit addictive.
I am in love with this video from Steven Spielb
