This week was filled with rock in roll, laughter, crazy costumes, and so much fun! You might remember me mentioning that some of my favorite blogging friends were heading to Spokane this week for the Poison, Def Leppard, and Tesla concert! Having them here was a pretty amazing and epic adventure.
First I have to talk about how amazing my dear husband is. I mentioned to him that I wanted to greet the girls at the airport in a way that they would never expect and would be super memorable and he went for it. No questions asked John was all in…..
You guys! Look at how amazing my husband is! Seriously!!! He stood in the airport for 20 minutes ahead of their flight times to make sure we were there on time. People were walking by giving him complete side eye and he just giggled and went with it. He even carried the crazy sign that I thought of at 2 am while trying to make sure everything in the house was ready.
The girls didn’t even know what to say when they walked out of security to see John waiting for him. It was one of the moments you can’t help but laugh and take 200 pictures to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
Amy from Living Locurto arrived first and squealed with excitement. Amy from MomSpark didn’t even know what to say. It was hilarious. We decided that we were not going to post a thing until Jessi from Shuggilipo made it in so we didn’t take away the surprise.
My husband went to the airport twice dressed up. He is a dang good husband I must say!
I set up an 80s dress up kit in the van for everyone so we could all dress up before Jessi got in. What 80’s party would be complete without inflatable guitars and neon accessories.
I should mention that we also wrote all over the minivan we rented with gold and white car markers. LOL! John googled 80’s rock icons and logos. Also as you can see we are not artists nor do we play them on tv. ha!
I just love this pic!
The concert was fantastic and we rocked out in our concert t-shirts. I can’t say enough how much I loved having the girls in Spokane. We spent hours talking about blogging, our goals, what we want to work on, and so much more.
I feel like I came out of this week with a gigantic to-do list and so many giggles.
In case you missed it here is last weeks Week 30 travel diary. We hope you have a truly amazing week! Our week is being spent gutting our garage and deep cleaning the house. Oh the joys of summer cleaning! LOL!
