Welcome to Week 5 of our real life Travel and Adventure diary. This week started off at the Rogue One Event in San Francisco and then the rest of the week was spent at home typing a lot of blog posts.
The Roque One Event started last night with a cocktail reception and viewing 28 minutes of Rogue One. On Sunday we had the opportunity to sit down and interview the cast of Roque One along with Dave Filoni the executive producer of Star Wars Rebels. The interviews were held at LucasFilm LTD which was amazing. Make sure and check out our post on Skywalker Ranch and LucasFilm LTD. Both places are true travel bucket list destinations for me.
Today was another bucket list travel moment when we had the chance to visit the Walt Disney Museum at the Presidio. The museum has an amazing exhibit for Pinocchio right now that we got to enjoy. It was so cool being at the museum and seeing all of the original artwork and what goes into producing an animated film. They even have the original paint that was used to paint Donald Duck.
The afternoon was a bit of craziness but ended up working out in the end. We got alerts on our phone that our flight out of San Francisco was delayed, and then delayed some more. To the point that I would have missed my connecting flight to Spokane and had to overnight in Seattle. Thankfully we were able to get to the airport early and the amazing gate agent at Alaska Air moved our flights around and got us home the same day. I was traveling with another blogger and they re-routed us through Portland and then home.
Tuesday was spent typing, typing, and more typing! One of the crazy things about going to a film event is there is a lot of typing that goes into producing all of the blog posts afterwards. I spent the day working on prepping the interview posts and writing about LucasFilm and Skywalker Ranch. The cats were oh so happy to have my home.
We finally had the chance to see Moana and LOVED IT! Plus how cool is this Star Wars sleigh! I now want one for the front yard.
John had a follow-up knee appointment with his surgeon. We went in hoping for an update and came out with a cortisone shot and a new physical therapy program. So the rest of the day was spent nursing his knee and hoping the pain from the cortisone shot would calm down quickly.
Woot! I won a gift card from a giveaway my friend Shuggilippo was having last month! If you haven’t seen her site you NEED TO! She is crazy hilarious! Trust me on this and go visit Shuggilippo!
Oh Hello Target you dangerous dangerous place! Went to Target with our neighbor and ended up buying way more than I thought I would. I know not a surprise!
I don’t think Kitty Kitty and Fluffy were happy with one of my purchase…..
Today did not go as planned at all! The server that hosts the website underwent a brute force attack and the website went down for hours on end.
Fluffy burritos make me giggle…he was not sure what was happening here!
You guys look at what showed up as a surprise! The amazing crew at Martha Stewart sent me the flamingo sheets that I raved about. Such an amazing holiday surprise!
Pretty sure the flamingo sheets have magical powers…both cats on the bed and they are not trying to knock each other off. Miracles happen!
I quess it is time to retire cute shoes in favor of snow boots…boo!
Kind of love this quote on my chai tea…also loved the chai tea on a cold snowy Saturday but that isn’t a surprise.
I don’t know how I feel about this. Don’t get me wrong I love a good stroopwafel but as a liqueur..uhm I don’t know. Though I am slightly curious to try it but also slightly scared.
Hei Hei…Have a great week!
