This week was all about the holidays and I don’t mean Halloween…lol! On Tuesday I flew down to California as a guest of Albertsons and Safeway to learn all about their upcoming holiday offerings. I am now in full holiday mode and feel the urge to bake for days!
Can I confess something…even with traveling as much as I do I still worry that I am not going to have my wallet when I get to the airport. On our way to the airport this week I had to take a pic behind my seat to look into my travel bag and make sure my purse was in it. I almost made John stop the Jeep but decided to take the pic instead. LOL!
This weeks mantra tattoo
We kicked off the Albertsons Safeway holiday event with dinner in their test kitchens. Talk about a dream kitchen! Access to all the ingredients you can imagine and so much space!
I was able to send my parents a surprise Safeway grocery delivery which was so much fun. It was super easy to check out on my phone and my parents were so surprised when the groceries arrived at their house the next morning.
Y’all I need you to keep an eye out for Vanilla Chai Ice Cream coming to your local Safeway or Albertsons soon! Hello yum!!!! You know I had to try it!
On Wednesday morning we headed back into the kitchens for 3 food challenges. Our first food challenge was with Annessa Chumbley who works with Albertsons and Safeway to share her tips and recipes for fitting affordable organic ingredients into every meal. She was so much fun and we all had the opportunity to play in the test kitchens making different stuffing recipes.
We had so much fun with the stuffing but then it was time to rotate to our other stations.
Our next stop was desserts! We practiced making different types of chocolate bark. Oh hello yum!
From chocolate, it was on to the main course with Chef Jeff Anderson. Chef Jeff showed us multiple ways to prepare lamb for the holiday season.
Next, we headed over to get flower arranging lessons from the amazing Debi Lilly. I am so in love with all of the vases and holiday decorations that are coming to Albertsons and Safeway. So many things for the Hygge look we are going for in our house.
To cap off the event we enjoyed all of the amazing food we had prepared in the test kitchens. I am truly ready for the holidays and can’t wait to start baking soon! I am so thankful for Albertsons and Safeway for bringing me down for this event and getting me in the holiday spirit.
John and I went on a fantastic lunch date to Cracker Barrel. It was the perfect break from work and taking time to just chill together.
And of course here are a few cute cat pics …
I hope that you have a truly amazing week!!!!
