This week was one of those weeks that you have things happen in your life that you can’t believe really happened. Seriously wait until you read what happened to us on Saturday night!
I hopped over to Seattle for a meeting/lunch to learn more about tech gifts this holiday season. It was amazing to see what the top gift requests are and how that has changed over the past 20 years.
We learned about the new fitbit ionic which I have now added to my tech wish list. I love that you can track so much of your life to make sure you are getting the steps you need, the right amount of sleep and so much more.
How cool is this Lenovo Tab 4 that works with your Amazon Alexa. You can ask questions and have the results show on the screen along with hear them from your Alexa. This would be perfect for looking at our upcoming snow weather forecasts.
What do you think of the top tech items for the 2017 holiday? Do you agree with them?
Check out the top tech from 2007. We definitely like TV’s during the holidays
Remember the days of really wanting the cool tech of a VCR or a Camcorder. lol
Wow! Times have sure changed our tech needs!
I am loving my daily mantra cards from one of my favorite authors Gabby Bernstein. I have read all her books and love being able to see a daily mantra each morning
You know there had to be a couple of cat pics. lol
I have been in a bit of a funk this week and just couldn’t seem to snap out of it. There are things happening in life that we haven’t really shared yet. I will share them soon but we need to work through some things before I put them out there to the world. Please know that we are healthy and our marriage is great there are just some other life things to work on.
I asked on Facebook how to snap out of a funk and one of the suggestions was to do things for others and take your mind off your own stuff. I loved this advice so we spent a day this week spreading love. I had a couple of boxes of scrapbook paper I wasn’t planning on using so we brought them to the local elementary school for the teachers. The front desk was so excited to give them to the teachers and said the kids would love more art classes.
We also dropped in on John’s Grandmother and brought her a new heated blanket to keep her feet cold. We are also going to throw her a 90th birthday party next month. Can you believe in 90 years she has only really had 1 birthday party. It is time for that to change and we are on a mission to celebrate how amazing she is.
This week’s Self Care Saturday was all about trying Bloom Mineral Beauty products. They emailed me and asked if I wanted to try out their Dead Sea Minerals products and I jumped at the chance. One of the things I was super sad to miss in Israel a few months ago was a Dead Sea spa. We had the chance to change in a bathroom at a spa but not use any of the facilities.
I was so in awe of floating in the Dead Sea! Thankfully one of the writers I was with remembered to bring a newspaper so we could act like we were floating and reading it. I was too busy trying to not laugh and drink the crazy salt water or get it in my eyes.
Back to this week and savoring some self-care time. I was so excited to try the Bloom Purifying Mud Mask and Shielding Foot Cream. My poor feet have not been happy with how long I have been wearing Birkenstocks in the cold weather.
I am so loving the Bloom Shielding Foot Cream. I won’t show you a pic of my bare feet but please know that they are super happy. OK, well here is a pic of my feet in the snow but I couldn’t help myself. lol
On Saturday night things took a turn in our lives that we never could have planned on….
Saturday afternoon we decided to head to our favorite Best Buy in North Spokane and see Darrick who always helps us and is amazing. He knows how to answer all of my questions and gets blogging and what we need. We totally splurged and got matching new computers which has been on our wish lists for a while. My old computer had barely and storage left and was soooo slow
When we got home things got a bit interesting…..
Things I never thought would happen in my life…
Setting up our new computers last night and I start to smell sh** and ask John if he smells it. He of course asks me if I am saying he smells like Sh** which I wasn’t of course. I keep smelling it so I move the file box below my desk and find a lovely pile of cat sh** Now that is pretty bad but the story of course doesn’t end there because why would it in my life.
I am cleaning up the mess and then start hearing a sizzling sound and look up and see small tendrils of smoke behind my desk. I then realize that the electrical bar below my desk is sizzling because the cat has pee’d into it. Said cat who is already named Squeaky Pee because when he gets scared he pees himself.
It seems that my moving things around on the desk scared him so much that he pee’d himself right into the electrical bar causing him to then SH** himself from the electrical surge he took to his balls.
My office is now cleaner than a hospital floor and the cat is recovering in a corner far away hopefully from any electrical appliances.
I hope your week is absolutely amazing and not filled with smoking electrical bars. 🙂
