Forgive me but I am a day late with this week’s Real Life Travel and Adventure Diary! I am going to fully admit to being a bit behind this week with Christmas. The week seemed to fly by and I woke up this morning realizing that I forgot to post the diary yesterday.
So here we go! Here is our crazy week from Las Vegas to Christmas and the fun in between.
Sunday December 18, 2016
We flew to Las Vegas super early Monday morning. We were supposed to do flights from Spokane – Portland – Seattle – Las Vegas so John would have the final 3 segments he needed to get AK Gold MVP for 2017. Well due to freezing rain they ended up canceling our flight to Portland. We flew straight to Seattle and then to Las Vegas.
We were in a bit of a panic thinking we needed to plan another flight for John before the end of the year. Thankfully Alaska helped us out and gave us credit for the segment we paid for but didn’t get to fly.
Randomly, these characters were wandering about Sea-Tac early in the morning! It was hilarious watching people’s faces as they rode the train with them.
I had zero plans while we were in Vegas. I was thinking we would curl up, get some work done and catch up on some sleep. I know that sounds super boring for Vegas but I was so excited for a giant hotel bed and no alarm clock.
John had a few other ideas I didn’t know about which turned out to be a ton of fun.
Ethel M Chocolate Light up Cactus display a super surprise from John
Drive through Christmas Light display at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was epic!!
The morning started with a fun twitter party, way too expensive of Starbucks chai from the hotel Starbucks and then we headed out to explore Vegas.
Uhm….you can get an iv infusion at the hotel? Not what I expected to see!
Twisted Farm Food at Hash House A Go Go for Brunch! HELLO YUM!
Stopped into Counts Kustoms to check out all the cars! Sooo many more pics to share soon! This was John’s favorite show while he was recovering from his knee surgery.
Visited the Pinball Hall of Fame for the first time! Such an amazing free thing to do in Las Vegas!
Home and getting work done! Finally went and saw Rogue One with Patti! IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Have you seen it? What did you think?
