During the Zootopia Press Event in Orlando, I had the opportunity to see Zootopia and I have to be upfront and honest and say I LOVED IT!
Today I am excited to share my Zootopia Movie Review and not give away any of the secrets to the movie.
Over the past week we have been celebrating Zootopia Week on the blog! Filled with cast interviews, products and fun facts about Zootopia. TODAY is finally the day Zootopia opens in theaters!
Trust me when I say you need to take the entire family to see this movie this weekend!!!! It is that great!
We all know Disney knows how to do animation and do it well. Zootopia is no exception. As the 55th animated film for the Disney family this movie does not disappoint. The movie includes lessons we can all use a bit of reminding of in this day and age. Racism, bullying, friendship, love and taking care of each other are the core messages in this movie.
The movie carries you through the life of Judy Hopps an optimistic bunny who knows she will be the first bunny officer on Zootopia PD. We see how an incident as a kid with bullying drive her to be the best officer she can be. We can all relate to that first day on the job when we are nervous/scared and have to take a deep breath and go for it.
Zootopia reminds us that even though we are all different we all have a common goal to live an amazing life. We all strive to take care of our families and friends to the best of our ability.
There are hidden gems in this movie that will make the adults laugh and other parts the kids will relate to while the adults look confused. It is the perfect balance of a kid and adult movie!
OFFICIAL BOILERPLATE: The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”), opens in theaters on March 4, 2016
