Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh black pepper
  • 6 1- inch thick pork loin chops
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat, sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper and add to the skillet
  2. Brown the pork chops on both sides, transfer to crock pot
  3. Melt the butter in the skillet over medium high heat, add the onions and saute until they begin to soften
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of pan, pour into crock pot
  5. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours
