Cook bacon and place on a paper towel to drain, keep bacon grease in the pan.
Add in green beans and toss them to coat them in the bacon grease. Let them cook for a few minutes in the grease.
Pour in chicken stock, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and stir together. Top with bacon pieces
Turn burner to low and cover pan with a lid just off center so the moisture evaporates. Cook green beans for 45 to an hour, stirring a few times while they are cooking.
