Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory

Published: Jun 23, 2014 · Updated: Dec 30, 2022 by Tammilee · This post may contain affiliate links

The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory feels like you have stepped into Alice and Wonderland!

As soon as you walk into the conservatory you are surrounded by amazing butterflies of all shapes and sizes.

There are even 2 very cute and funny pink flamingos in the conservatory.

Prior to entering the conservatory, there is a fantastic educational area that walks you through the lifespan of a butterfly. You can learn the difference between a moth and a butterfly.

Make sure and give yourself ample time for enjoying the Butterfly conservatory. We were there for about half an hour and it was not near enough time. I could have spent hours and hours taking pictures of the butterflies.

Everywhere you turn there is an amazing butterfly.

I honestly had a hard time picking photos to share with everyone from the 100's that we took during our visit. Even with going through them I still had over 30 pictures that I absolutely loved.

One of my favorite spots in the Key West Butterfly Garden was the butterfly-shaped benches they have.

You can sit and just relax with butterflies all around you. It truly felt like a moment from Alice and Wonderland.
