The Atherton Hotel at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma {Video}

The Atherton Hotel at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma recently underwent a multi-year renovation. I had the opportunity to stay at the Atherton during my time in Stillwater. I was beyond impressed with this hotel! I honestly could have moved right into my room and not left for a while.

I was a bit nervous going in when I heard that the hotel featured OSU colors or Orange and Black. I was picturing a room that was over the top with orange colors and Pistol Pete all over the place. Thankfully I was wrong and the rooms were absolutely beautiful. The OSU colors are tastefully intermixed in the room in a way that is so impressive.

One thing to know is that if you are staying at The Atherton please do not plan any early morning meetings or events. You will not want to crawl out of the bed. Trust me on this! The snooze button will be your friend. The bed at The Atherton is heavenly! Piles of pillows, super soft blankets and sheets, and a comfy bed make for amazing night sleep.

The mornings that I had to get up early I dragged myself out of bed because I just didn't want to part with the amazing pillows. They were so good that I talked about them on Twitter a lot during my stay. Enough that people started to ask if I was bringing the pillows home with me.

When you do drag yourself out of bed make sure and check out the breakfast offerings in the Ranchers Club. Hello yum! The staff and the food at the Ranchers Club were fantastic. The Ranchers Club is great for dinner!

If you are spending a romantic weekend at The Atherton make sure and plan for a date night at The Ranchers Club! Plus cocktails in the lounge were quite delicious.

The Atherton is located at Oklahoma State University next to the student union building. It is an easy walk on campus to explore the beautiful grounds. The Atherton is also a great place to stay for OSU football game weekends if they have space! The OSU Football Team is known to stay at the hotel the night before games.

One thing I think is really cool is a lot of the staff at The Atherton are students from the university. The university has a School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration and students can work at the hotel as part of their program.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the bathroom and amenities! Hello Rubber Ducky!!!! Oh my cuteness! If you are celebrating a special occasion make sure and mention it to the hotel when you make your reservation. I can't guarantee it but I hear they may also have some themed rubber duckies!

If you are a coffee addict or tea addict there is a Keurig in the room! There are also wine glasses if you want to bring a bottle of wine to celebrate a special occasion. Or just so you have a glass to enjoy while soaking in the massive bathtub with your rubber ducky.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Stillwater, Oklahoma I highly suggest The Atherton. You can expect a luxurious stay in the heart of Stillwater, Oklahoma. I would stay at the hotel again in a second! I already told John that we need to plan a return trip to Stillwater just so I can curl up in the bed and read a book.
